Author Joe McGinniss, the man who just happened to rent the house next door to Sarah Palin while he is writing a biography about Palin, Said Tuesday on the Today Show that he did not move next door to Palin to spy on her. McGinniss said that he needed to be in Wasilla Alaska to do research, and the house next door to Palin just happened to be renting for a good price:
“WASILLA, Alaska (AP) – A writer working on a book about former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin says he moved to her hometown to talk to her longtime acquaintances, not to spy on the family. Joe McGinniss said Tuesday on NBC’s “Today” show that the price was right on the house next door to the Palins. He says he needs to be in Wasilla to do his work. Palin posted on Facebook last week that she wondered what McGinniss would gather “while overlooking Piper’s bedroom, my little garden, and the family’s swimming hole?” McGinniss called Palin’s comments “ugly innuendo” and “revolting.” An editorial posted Saturday by Palin’s hometown newspaper implied that the former governor or neighbors could shoot McGinniss if they felt their life or property were threatened.”
Keep in mind when reading his comments, this is the same guy that bid $60,101.01 in September of 2009 to have dinner with Sarah Palin.
So, lets say that Joe didn’t move in next door to Palin to spy on her while writing a book about her. A search for houses on rentalhouses.com returns three pages of homes for rent in Wasilla, Alaska, other home rental sites give similar results. Does he mean to tell us that out of all the houses for rent in Wasilla, he just happened to pick the one next door to the woman that he is writing a book about and bid $60, 101 to have dinner with….well, that is a pretty big coincidence Joe.
