Rand Paul Wins in Kentucky

Posted by Conservative American Categories: News Tags: kentucy, rand paul, senate

Tea Party sympathizer Rand Paul won the Republican primary senate election in Kentucky, defeating heavily backed opponent Trey Grayson:

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (AP) – Rand Paul defeated Republican establishment favorite Trey Grayson in the Republican primary for U.S. Senate, a closely watched race that was a key test of the tea party movement’s strength.

Paul, the son of former presidential candidate U.S. Rep. Ron Paul, on Tuesday gave the tea party its first victory in a statewide election—one that could embolden the fledgling political movement in other states. With 31 percent of precincts reporting, Paul was leading with 65,702 votes, or 59 percent, to Grayson’s 40,767 votes or 37 percent.

This win could be seen as one of the biggest for the Tea Party.

One Response to Rand Paul Wins in Kentucky

  1. I feel that the federal debt is our biggest threat to the future of this country . My idea is that we develope a civilian army of maybe 60’000 by cutting forces in europe to off set the cost . Enlistees would serve 5 years and at the end would get full military credit . The program would run 8 or 9 years and than be sold over to private interests . Each recruit would be taught to do certain jobs . Like road builders , truck and heavy equipment drivers , Building pipe lines . building Oil dericks and the operation of oil wells . Since the government all ready owns the controversial ANWAR province There would be no cost to secure the land . The civilian army would drill for oil , take the oil , than send the oil via pipeline to the port of valdez where it would be loaded on super tankers and shipped to japan to pay off our federal debt . After japan we pay off China and we pay them with oil . Which the whole world will benefit from . It will help to stop inflation by reducing the cost of oil and take power away from our enemys , Or we can set on our butts and let the world destroy us . We must fight to get that oil out desperatly and with great urgency as if we were fighting the 2nd world war all over again .
Also we must start to grow food , we must get the central California farm land back in production and get the corn crops out of our gas tanks . This is very urgent or this country and the people in it are doomed .
