Similarities Between Barack Obama and The Tyrant King George III
King George III was the King of Great Britain during the time of the American Revolutionary War. The tyrannies that King George III perpetrated over the American colonies are what ultimately led to The Declaration of Independence, the American Revolutionary War, and the formation of The United States of America. In The Declaration of Independence Thomas Jefferson listed the tyrannies exercised by King George III over the American colonies. We are now faced with an administration whose actions are very similar to those tyrannies listed by Thomas Jefferson. I have made up a list of the similarities between the actions of the Obama administration and the tyrannies listed in The Declaration of Independence (Each listed item starts with a quote from The Declaration of Independence followed by the similarities in the Obama administration):

-The Declaration of IndependenceObama is similar to King George III in this regard because he has attempted on a number of occasions to implement social welfare programs for “the good of the people.” I know, I know, I must sound crazy. Why is it a bad thing that Obama is implementing welfare programs? Well, there are numerous reasons. First and foremost is that any social welfare program provided by the federal government comes at a cost to the people, and that cost is individual liberty. It is imperative that the people understand that when the government implements such programs we lose more money and more freedom. So, if you look at the bigger picture it is easy to see that Obama is not implementing these programs from the compassion of his bleeding liberal heart. He pushes these social welfare programs to keep the people dependent upon the government. His purpose in implementing such programs is to grow the power and influence of the government over the people. Obama has also attempted to impose unwarranted regulations on the people, such as cap-and-trade, which would inevitably raise our taxes and subject us to more excessive government authority.

These unconstitutional acts run rampant through congress. They buy votes, they propose bills that cannot be repealed, and they favor the interests of one state over another. I might also add, that nowhere in the constitution does it give the federal government jurisdiction to extend its power to the suffering of individuals or the redistribution of one persons property to another. That being said, some might say that social welfare programs and even income taxes are unconstitutional.

-The Declaration of IndependenceWe have held tea parties, we have participated in town hall meetings, we have called our congressmen, we have done everything that we can possibly do to voice our opposition of their radical spending and excessive expansion of government; yet they continue to push their radical left agenda under the presumption that they know they know what’s best for us. Should aspiring tyrants be the leaders of the free world? I don’t think so.

US citizens have evidently not been teaching their children the Constitution and its history, particularly the constitutionally enumerated principle of state sovereignty, for many generations. So constitutionally ignorant US citizens have only themselves to blame for getting themselves under the tyranny of a corrupt “leader” like Obama. They foolishly bet the ranch with Obama and lost.
Indeed, students are not learning about the constitution. Did you hear the North Carolina Schools are planning to teach US history starting in the year 1877? They are going to cut 400 years of history out the curriculum. Now our kids will have no chance of understanding the importance of Liberty.

Obama was elected to reform health care. He never lied about his objectives along these lines. The latest poll says 46% want the bill passed, 45% don’t. 72% of Americans supported a public option last June….that only changed when PR firms hired by health insurance companies spread their lies like a virus and gullible people across the nation fell for them. Almost 80% of Americans opposed George Bush and Dick Cheney’s occupation of Iraq…where they went under a false premise for no reason other than their own personal gain. They spent billions of tax-payer dollars, and none of you people said a word. Now Obama has to spend more to clean up the mess they made.

@radley5 First things first. I never mentioned Bush. I never said whether I supported him or not. So why are you assuming that I do? Bush was a progressive, just as Obama(although Obama takes progressivism to the extreme), and you apparently.
Secondly, you mention that Obama has to spend more money to clean up our mess right. Well, please show me what proven economic method outlines spending more money to get of debt? If you were in debt, would you get yourself in more debt to get out of the original debt? Spending money does not create any permanent jobs. It may create a few jobs in the short term, but those jobs eventually fade. Then we will be right back where we started. Except we will be further in debt. There comes a point were raising taxes and pushing up the debt becomes regressive. That is, there is a point when raising taxes actually results in a decrease in revenue and economic activity. Conversely, it is tried and true that lowering taxes and debt results in an increase in revenue and stimulation of the economy. Let the free market work.
Thirdly, since you seem to support a “Public Option” I can deduce that you are also a fan of “Social Justice” and “Fairness.” Well I can assure you of one thing, under these types of social redistribution programs we will all be equal. We will all be equally impoverished and dependent on the federal government as our soul provider of all things necessary to survive. Think Cuba!… Oh, and while I’m on the topic, what gives you or any other person the right, to take money from my paycheck; Which I worked hard to earn. In order to pay your own expenses. If someone other than the government did such a thing it would be considered theft. Thus, you are an advocate of legalized theft.
Lastly, “STFU?” I had to look that one up. I am not very well versed in abbreviated text speak. How mature of you. For an enlightened, compassionate liberal you sure are aggressive.

What I meant by Obama having to spend more money to clean up the mess that George Bush and Dick Cheney made in Iraq, is that more billions are being spent on a war we should have never gotten ourselves into in the first place. We have destoyed that country and most of it’s innocent inhabitants. The terrorists responsible for 911 were not in Iraq when we went in there, but our entering that country has caused more problems than ever existed before. 70% of the children in that country are suffering from PTSD, not to mention serious bodily injury and huge increases in the rates of heart disease since we came in. Yours and my taxpayer dollars are going to pay for the health care of all of those citizens, but we don’t take care of our own??? Prisoners get better medical care than the majority of people in this country….and they don’t pay for it, we do. Where is the outrage over these issues???
I don’t want free health care. I want to be able to BUY an insurance policy that is worth something to my family. I work hard everyday and so does my husband, but because he has asthma and I have mild endometriosis, we are not allowed to purchase insurance in the private “for-profit” free market. Oh, except the $40,000 per year guaranteed issue policy we were offered. That policy would not pay one dime of any medical expense unless we paid that entire $40,000 out in less than one year. Then it would pay 50% the remainder of the year. We aren’t poor, but we can’t afford that, and I highly doubt many people in this country could. We have never spent a fraction of that amount of money in a year in our lifetimes on medical care. We are also independent contractors/entreupreneurs…supposedly the spirit of America. Ha. Most people are clinging to jobs they hate because they live in fear of not being able to get health insurance if they leave.
Others work and pay into health insurance their entire lives, and then are dropped when they get sick. We pay the highest taxes of any country in the world…we just don’t call most of it a “tax”. We hand over thousands upon thousands of dollars over the course of a lifetime to for-profit health insurance companies who do not provide a single health benefit. They are merely a middleman taking a profit. We pay huge administrative costs unrivaled by any other country. Talk about bureaucracy!! These are the REAL death panels. The insurance companies, not your doctor, decide what kind of treatment, if any, that you will recieve. We are the only country in the civilized world who has declared health care a Privelege, and not a Right. Eighty percent of uninsured persons in this country right now are employed. If we are denied coverage by the private “free market” insurers, what do you suggest we do? If costs continue to escalate at the rate they have been, the average family will be paying $50,000 or more per year for a lousy insurance policy within the next 15-20 years. How is this sustainable? I don’t really think it should be “government run”, but I do think there should be a non-profit insurance option for those of us who are tired of being screwed by those who place profit above all else.
The CBO has determined that the current health care bill will pay for itself in 20 years. What do you think it would cost if we did nothing? Trillions.
As for the stimulus spending, much of that money went to pay for unemployment benefits for the millions who have lost their jobs over the past two years. The free market companies are not hiring, at least not in this country, primarily because they have to pay enormous premiums to keep their current employees insured. They don’t have to do that when they ship jobs overseas. My husband was laid off from his job in 2007 and spent every single day of nine months looking for work. He applied for over 200 jobs, most of which he was well over-qualified for. He did not get a single call or interview until 3 weeks after his unemployment benefits expired. We almost lost our house…which we could not sell becuase it was no longer worth what we paid for it, or even what we owed for it. This is what the free-market did to our economy because they were completely unregulated and their “speculation” drove housing prices to an unsustainable level. Right now, there are more than 100 people looking for a job for every single job opening out there. What is your suggestion for what we do with these people? Toss them out on the streets? Put them in prison? Send them somewhere else?? What?
It’s too bad we could not see what would have happened if absolutely nothing had been done. Most economists agree that the effects would have been devastating beyond anything the world has ever seen. Let’s just hope that you don’t lose your job, your house, and your health benefits…and then get sick. Thousand of people are dealing with issues like this on a daily basis in this country. Our economy relies on millions of people working for slave wages. If you don’t want to pay for their health care, then start insisting they get paid a living-wage. Also, require companies to hire every single person who is capable of working a job. Otherwise, come up with a better plan instead of DO NOTHING, and I’ll bet people would listen to you. Lowering taxes on the wealthy helped create the problem. Nobody starts a war and lowers taxes simultaneously (except for G.W. Bush). All of our problems were created by letting the free market corporations rule this country for too long. Our government is merely a pawn catering to their every beck and call.
I don’t need to think “Cuba” when I can think of other countries who do quite well with non-profit health care: Switzerland, Norway, France, Germany…and 33 others who have better health outcomes at a lower price per person than the U.S.
Capitalism is the extraordinary belief that the nastiest of men, for the nastiest of reasons, will somehow work for the benefit of us all.
